Meet Kimberly Douglas, Founder and President
Kimberly Douglas, SPHR, CPF, is a nationally recognized expert with more than 25 years of experience building the effectiveness of teams. Her unique ability to read group dynamics and think "on the fly" is a product of her natural talent and applied lifelong learning. After earning a Masters degree in industrial/organizational psychology, she received her certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) for Life. Kimberly is also a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Hogan Assessment Suite, and the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI)-three of the world's leading assessment tools.
Prior to founding FireFly eleven years ago, Kimberly served as a corporate HR executive in several companies, including Coca-Cola, where she facilitated strategic planning and leadership team effectiveness for the USA Marketing organization. As Vice President of Human Resources for an entrepreneurial healthcare company, she was accountable for developing and executing on the HR strategic business plan. She gained her broad-industry knowledge and expertise through her role as a Director with the international management consulting firm, Hay Group.
Kimberly is a professional member of the National Speakers Association and is a sought after speaker at meetings and conferences. Her book, The Firefly Effect: Build Teams That Capture Creativity and Catapult Results, was recently published by Wiley.
